Don’t forget about Prayer

Watch this

After watching this, this ex-follower of Jesus, now muslim convert, did it all wrong to seek truth. He left out one very basic foundation which is PRAYER. You cannot simply just focus on theology and the historical references of biblical studies to seek truth. Because doing so, is only undermined by the weight and control of Man. Christianity has 2 other constructs, which is worship & prayer.

Why do we pray if we know that God favors us as His anointed and we are already know He will provide, and have faith in doing so?

We pray because it’s a way to stay married to the bridegroom in honoring the commune of RELATIONSHIP. It’s to establish that relationship way.

Why worship? To glorify the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, strength, spirit.
With that being said, you must take all those 5 facets and put it together as one into prayer as well.

So when you study the bible, do not try to go read 10 chapters per day, or go through as many chapters, verses, scriptures as fast as you can. And do not try to hear what others think of in the bible (because that doesn’t do justice in your own walk of having a personal relationship between you and Christ). Sure we can keep an open mind and listen to what your friends may have to say from what they think in their own walks of what the bible is saying, but do not let it mold it into your full understanding of your own synopsis of what you think, the best way is to do the research on yourself alone.
and do not try to rely on the books, (yes the books is not a heresy, but more of a translation to modern society in the age of man) but if you rely on the books than the bible, it is also deviating from what you think is the truth, and the authority is of the bible. The best way to read the bible, is to read as little as possible and just dwell on each verse by verse, slowly and surely you will start to understand things day by day, it’s a progress & process of comprehension.

Because too much cramming is going to make your head explode, you’ll absorb too much like a sponge, and you wont know what to think anymore, being confused.

Although it also depends on what kind of reader you are. If you are the kind who can register information fast/ pick up things fast, then you might as well do what im doing now.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, start doing devotionals everyday of the week to fulfill that consecration.

I advise to get a copy of the ESV Study Bible. It’s very good. It has a lot of information in there.

If you want to follow the way I study the bible, Go read a full book 3 times front to back.
If you don’t understand some of it in depth, refer to some of the historical references and theological terminologies. But make sure reading it to yourself 5 times over is included, with MEDITATION & most importantly PRAYER!

For if you delve too much into the theology of the bible to understand the knowledge behind it, in order to achieve wisdom, you will never really truly understand what God’s mind wants man to perceive as in his walk.

As Mike Bickle (IHOP-KC) also states, that in order to understand the bible, it cannot be solely on theology, that the 2 other constructs, prayer and worship must be included as well as meditation. But the constructs are only activities, without the communion of the spirit within them is just all vanity.

So kids, be sure to make aware and experience the holy spirit filling the atmosphere and tangibleness of you. And include that spirit within the constructs. Meditate, and pray to our God in order to fully understand what the King is meaning.

James 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

You must PRAY to God when you read the bible. You cannot rely simply on context by context, theology, historical references, terminology, or other sources by man. The wisdom must be of God’s.

Another tip of advice:
Start at the New Testament all the way to Revelation.
Then read at Old Testament to Revelation.
Then Read the entire bible once more.
Then study the entire bible.
And now pray with the bible.

This process helps to grow a baby Christian into a treasure of wisdom.
It helps to get you to grow from knowledge into wisdom.

John 16:7
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

The spirit of Truth is Holy Spirit.

In my response to this.
The comforter here is the holy spirit. The holy spirit is called God, because to be more technically clear, the holy spirit is the presence of God, the holy spirit is also the substance of God, and the holy spirit is also the presence/essence of the kingdom of heaven. For they laugh, because they are doing mental gymnastics, relying on the theology rather than the praying/meditation/spiritual mediation of God.
Yes the trinity is by far one of the most confusing deities I’ve come across. But it makes sense, God is the God. Jesus is God, in SPIRIT, not of flesh. Jesus is only man in flesh, but Jesus in spirit is God. And Altogether, Jesus as flesh with the spirit channeled down on earth as born without procreation is known as the son of God. Think of it like cloning your own, trying to clone your own genetic code, and a son comes out, that is your son, but he is also you, because he has the same genetic make up of you too. Therefore Jesus is God, Holy Spirit is God, and God is God. The Trinity.

Yes God’s word has to be clear. But some of the bible is not clear, but told in historical referenced figure of speech, metaphors, and parables. Yet we cannot simply just rely on the mind to understand God’s word.
We have to rely on prayer, meditation, and spiritual mediation of the holy ghost.
